Join a California State University of Monterey Bay student for this fun and interactive STEAM workshop!

Girls will participate in a beach clean-up, learn what is recyclable and why, and use the trash collected to create a sculpture that can be displayed at a public location in Monterey.

Girls will

• Do a beach clean-up.
• Sort trash into recyclables and non-recyclables.
• Learn the importance of knowing the difference.
• Build a sculpture

Girls must attend session one and session two. Session three and four are optional.  

Mandatory Sessions:

• Session One, beach clean-up
• Session Two, design sculpture, sort materials and begin building sculpture

 Optional Sessions:

• Session Three, building sculpture
• Session Four, building sculpture
