Join a California State University of Monterey Bay student for this fun and interactive STEAM workshop!
Girls will participate in a beach clean-up, learn what is recyclable and why, and use the trash collected to create a sculpture that can be displayed at a public location in Monterey.
Girls will
- Do a beach clean-up.
- Sort trash into recyclables and non-recyclables.
- Learn the importance of knowing the difference.
- Build a sculpture
Girls must attend session one and session two. Session three and four are optional.
Mandatory Sessions:
- Session One, beach clean-up
- Session Two, design sculpture, sort materials and begin building sculpture
Optional Sessions:
- Session Three, building sculpture
- Session Four, building sculpture
