DESCRIPTION:Join a California State University of Monterey Bay student for this fun and interactive STEAM workshop! \n  \n  \n Girls will participate in a beach clean-up, learn what is recyclable and why, and use the trash collected to create a sculpture that can be displayed at a public location in Monterey. \n  \n  \n Girls will \n  \n  \n  \n 	Do a beach clean-up. \n 	Sort trash into recyclables and non-recyclables. \n 	Learn the importance of knowing the difference. \n 	Build a sculpture \n  \n  \n Girls must attend session one and session two. Session three and four are optional.   \n  \n  \n Mandatory Sessions: \n  \n  \n  \n 	Session One, beach clean-up \n 	Session Two, design sculpture, sort materials and begin building sculpture \n  \n  \n  Optional Sessions: \n  \n  \n  \n 	Session Three, building sculpture \n 	Session Four, building sculpture  \n  \n  \n  \n Programs are open to registered Girl Scouts.
