Rube Goldberg machine, named after American cartoonist Rube Goldberg, is a chain reaction-type machine or contraption intentionally designed to perform a simple task in an indirect and overly complicated way. Usually, these machines consist of a series of simple unrelated devices; the action of each triggers the initiation of the next, eventually resulting in achieving a stated goal.

In this program, girls will design their own wild invention on their own time in teams of 1-4 girls. On the day of the program, girls will transport, set up and present their creation at their local retail stores. More information and instruction will be provided upon registration.

For registration, please claim one registration slot using the name of the adult overseeing the team of girls. Once you have completed registration, please check the receipt in your email for the link to more information and instruction regarding the challenge.

Fee: $10 (includes reserved team spot and fun patches)
