Girl Scouts are invited to a one-of-a-kind culinary experience in partnership with CA Grown and Gelson’s! Girls will step into the world of fresh, local flavor as they explore the journey of the famous Ojai Pixie Tangerine—from orchard to table.

The experience begins with a virtual tour of Ojai Pixie tangerine groves, where girls will learn how these sweet, seedless citrus gems are grown right here in California. Then, a Gelson’s chef will lead an exciting live culinary demonstration—followed by a hands-on cook-along where Girl Scouts get to make a delicious recipe featuring Ojai Pixie tangerines!

The adventure continues with an interactive scavenger hunt inside Gelson’s, where girls will search for “CA Grown” ingredients needed for a special recipe, featuring Ojai Pixie Tangerines. Best of all, each Girl Scout will receive a Gelson’s gift card to purchase the ingredients - empowering her to shop smart and cook confidently.

This hands-on program blends entrepreneurship, nutrition, agriculture, and culinary creativity—giving girls the chance to taste, explore, and celebrate the power of California produce in a fun and unforgettable way!
