For the very first time, Girl Scouts are celebrating their love for the outdoors with Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend!
As one of the four pillars that form the foundation of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, getting outdoors allows for growth and learning that is an integral part of being a Girl Scout!
Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador girls will start their day at the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Discovery Center where they will explore careers in Marine Science, discover how to
measure ocean health by sampling and analyzing ocean water, and examine plankton. After lunch girls will head on over to the Piedras Blancas Elephant Seal Sanctuary exploring local marine mammals.

1:00-2:30 Marine Mammals @ Elephant seal sanctuary
Wear warm comfortable layered clothing and close toed shoes. Bring a reusable water bottle and a lunch.
No tagalongs. No pets.
This is not a drop off event
Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all traveling forms for each participating girl.
All drivers should be registered Girl Scout Members, have
completed a background check, have a valid CA driver’s license and hold current vehicle insurance.
