Take a Hike – Celebrate National Take a Hike Day!

Lace up your hiking boots and join us at the beautiful Elkhorn Slough Reserve for an outdoor adventure in honor of National Take a Hike Day! Girl Scouts will explore one of California’s most diverse wetlands while learning how to enjoy nature responsibly through the Leave No Trace principles. Along the way, you’ll spot wildlife, breathe in the fresh coastal air, and discover why protecting these special places matters. This hike is the perfect chance to connect with friends, appreciate the beauty of the slough, and celebrate the joy of exploring the outdoors—one step at a time!

If you have program credits, don't forget to use them.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change, and we want to support families while also ensuring our programs run smoothly. Refunds & Reschedules • Requests must be submitted at least 3 days before the program start date. • All requests must be submitted by creating a case through info@girlscoutsccc.org. • If approved, you may choose a refund or a reschedule/transfer to another available program. Less Than 3 Days Before a Program • Refunds and reschedules are not available if requested within 3 days of the program start date. • Exceptional circumstances (e.g., illness, emergency) may be considered for a transfer only. Refunds are not provided. Reschedules/Transfers • You may transfer to another program of equal or lesser value (no refunds are given if the new program costs less). • Transfers to a higher-priced program are allowed only if the payment difference is made at the time of transfer. • Once a registration has been rescheduled, it is not eligible for a refund later, even if the new program falls within the 3-day window. Council-Initiated Changes • If we cancel or reschedule a program, you may choose a full refund or a transfer to another program.
