Plan it. Build it. Make it yours!

Get ready to roll up your sleeves and discover what you can build! In this hands-on woodworking and STEAM workshop, Girl Scouts will use real, age-appropriate tools, hardware, and materials to plan, build, and decorate their very own balance board.

Guided by experienced instructors, girls will learn proper tool safety and foundational carpentry techniques as they measure, assemble, and complete their project from start to finish. Along the way, they’ll strengthen practical life skills while putting critical thinking, creative problem-solving, perseverance, attention to detail, and craftsmanship into action.

Then it’s time to get creative! Each balance board becomes a blank canvas for girls to sketch, design, draw, or paint, creating a finished project that reflects their own personality and style.

Girls will leave with new skills, greater confidence using tools, and the satisfaction of being able to say, “I planned it. I built it. I made it!” Best of all, everyone takes home the one-of-a-kind balance board they created!
