DESCRIPTION: \n  \n  \n Trek Wild, a Volunteer led hiking and backpacking program in the GSCCC central/south area, is offering a day hike on Hill Canyon Trails. We'll do a loop of the plateau - there are a lot of cross connecting trails with several interesting things to see, so the girls will have some choice in how the hike unfolds.  A full loop will be right around 6 miles \n  \n Prerequisite: participants must have completed Trek Wild's Wilderness Hiking Course  \n  \n  \n Meeting location: Hill Canyon Trailhead Parking Lot, Hill Canyon Rd. meet at the entrance to the trail next to the foot bridge  \n  \n Camarillo, CA  \n  \n Packing list: 10 essentials, appropriate layers, snack, lunch, and extra (emergency) food, daypack, 2 L of water. An email will be sent out closer to the hike with a weather forecast and layering suggestions.  \n  \n  \n Badge work: This hike will count toward the Cadette Trail Adventure Badge.  \n  \n  \n Leaders:  Jerry Kienitz  \n  \n  \n Cost: free \n  \n  \n Forms: Bring the Trip Specific Permission form and two copies of your Health History form - one is folded and placed in your first aid kit, the other is handed to the trip leader.   \n  \n  \n This hike will run rain or shine, as long as there aren't safety concerns. Girls can attend without an adult. Must be registered Girl Scout \n  \n  \n
