DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n  \n Kelp Creations & Coastal Explorations \n  \n  \n Dive into the wonders of the ocean with this hands-on coastal adventure led by a local Surfrider Club in Santa Barbara! Girl Scouts will discover the incredible world of kelp—one of the ocean’s most important ecosystems—through an interactive educational session that brings marine science to life. \n  \n  \n Get creative as you design your own unique kelp-inspired artwork using cyanotype paper, a special sun-printing process that uses natural light to create beautiful blue ocean prints to take home. \n  \n  \n Then, head out for a guided walk along the beach, where you’ll explore the shoreline, learn about local marine species, and discover how we can all help protect our coastlines. This immersive experience blends science, art, and outdoor exploration for a truly unforgettable day by the sea! \n  \n  \n Please wear pants and closed-toe shoes that can get a little wet—adventure awaits at the water’s edge! \n  \n  \n Cost $7.00 Girl Scouts (includes Beachcomber Patch) Adults - no cost but please register.
