DESCRIPTION: \n  \n  \n Girl Scouts of California&rsquo;s Central Coast is excited to announce a unique opportunity to partner with the City of Thousand Oaks and Lego to  \n  \n  \n DISCOVER, CONNECT, and TAKE ACTION against an important issue facing communities. \n  \n  \n Building Change One Brick at a Time \n  \n  \n Girl Scout Juniors will be introduced to the issue of homelessness and how it impacts our communities.  They will then be connected to the City of Thousand Oaks to learn about this issue and what the city does to address it.  Girl Scout Juniors will learn how they can Take Action and be an advocate for the unhoused in the City of Thousand Oaks.  Ultimately, they will plan and build (with Legos) a new community that will be presented to the city along with a persuasive letter.  Girl Scouts that attend all meetings will earn their Bronze Award. \n  \n  \n No tagalongs. No pets. This is not a drop off event.  Troops need to maintain child to adult ratios, Juniors attending without a troop must have an adult chaperone. \n  \n  \n Event Fee $5.00 per Junior, $2.00 per Leader \n  \n  \n  \n Programs are open to registered Girl Scouts.
