DESCRIPTION:This is for adults that want to attend the Overnight Backpack Training & Fun Time. \n  \n  \n When you register for this, you are registering for the Classroom Training, Pack Check & the Overnight Training.  The classroom training is optional.   \n  \n  \n Event flyer with all the details. \n  \n  \n  \n Adult Backpacking Training - Classroom Training - Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021  8-10AM \n  \n  \n Volunteers from Trek Wild, our Volunteer Backpacking and Hiking Group will discuss local trip planning, keeping girls safe on the trail, Girl Scouts of California Central Coast Backpacking Requirements, Meals, Packing List & Gear. \n  \n  \n  \n Pack Check - Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021  10-10:45 AM (Same zoom link as classroom training.) \n  \n  \n  \n Backpacking Overnight Training & fun time at Nineteen Oaks - Sept. 25-26, 2021  3:00 PM - 10:00 AM \n  \n  \n The pre-hike Meal: Due to fire restrictions, we’ll do things a little different.  3:00—4:30 PM Cook & eat (or pack to go) dinner; stoves are allowed at the trailhead but not in the backcountry. Food is included with event fee. \n  \n  \n The hike: Uphill hike to meadow on a hill with beautiful views.  There are picnic tables, and a rustic pit toilet.  We will carry in all our water. \n  \n  \n Gear: Borrow a pack, tent, sleeping bag & sleeping pad for free!  You supply personal items & snacks. \n  \n  \n On your own: Practice hike with full backpack 1.5 miles, over hills. \n  \n  \n Event Fee: $30 per adult  - Trek Wild is Volunteer led hiking and backpacking group. \n
