If you are not a registered Girl Scout, please call 1 800-822-2427. \n  \n  \n DATE/TIME: Saturday, July 13, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm \n  \n LOCATiON: Hearst San Simeon State Park \n  \n GRADE LEVEL: D/B/J Incoming Daisies Welcome! \n  \n  \n INVITED: Troops, Individual Girls with Adult Chaperone \n  \n FOCUS: Outdoor Education \n  \n FEE: Girls: $10 \n  \n Girl Scouts Love State Parks Patch $2  \n  \n Adults Free, must register \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n For the very first time, Girl Scouts are celebrating their love for the outdoors with Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend! \n  \n  \n As one of the four pillars that form the foundation of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, getting outdoors allows for growth and learning that is an integral part of being a Girl Scout! \n  \n  \n Daisy, Brownie, and Junior girls will start their day at the Piedras Blancas Elephant Seal Sanctuary exploring local marine mammals. After lunch girls will head on over to the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Discovery Center. Here they will explore the state park during a scavenger hunt and discover how they can keep our land and ocean clean and protect wildlife during a litter getter activity! \n  \n  \n 10:30-11:30 Marine Mammals @ Piedras Blancas Elephant Seal Sanctuary \n  \n  \n 12:00 Lunch \n  \n  \n 1:00-3:00 Pier Scavenger Hunt and Litter Getter @ Discovery Center \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n Wear warm comfortable layered clothing and close toed shoes. Bring a reusable water bottle and a lunch. \n  \n  \n  \n No tagalongs. No pets. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n This is not a drop off event \n  \n  \n Troop leader or adult chaperone is required to have all traveling forms for each participating girl.  \n  \n  \n All drivers should be registered Girl Scout Members, have   \n  \n  completed a background check, have a valid CA driver’s license and hold current vehicle insurance. \n
